Blood Pressure Chart
Blood pressure chart demonstrates two main values of blood pressure; one is named as systolic pressure and the second is termed as diastolic one. Blood pressure means the force exerted on the walls of blood vessels by the circulating blood. Diastolic pressure is measured when heart relaxes while that of systolic pressure is determined when the heart beats. These two types of pressure are important in identification of real condition of a body. Normally it is written in this form 120/80; number 120 refers to systolic pressure and number 80 indicates diastolic pressure.
Blood Pressure Chart
A physician first checks both values of pressure i.e. systolic and diastolic and then matches them with the numbers mentioned in the chart for getting an idea about the range of pressure. There are three ranges of pressure:
High Blood Pressure: In case the pressure of a person is 140/90 or higher, then it comes in the range of this high level. It is also called hypertension. This range is considered risky for a person as it may cause many health problems.
Normal Blood Pressure: If the pressure is below 120/80 then it is called as normal pressure. This range is considered ideal as there is no risk for a person who has such a level.
Low Blood Pressure: When the pressure of a person is 90/60 or low, it is termed as hypotension. Though hypotension is dangerous yet it is not as risky for the person's health and organs as hypertension is. Therefore, it is necessary for a person to know about the high blood pressure symptoms and then to make some remedial actions.
Hypertension is labeled as "the silent killer," the reason is that there are no vivid symptoms of it. One comes to know about one's high pressure condition only when he/she goes for a regular check up.
Some common high blood pressure symptoms are headache, nausea, chest pain, dizziness, shortness of breath, vomiting and blurred vision etc. It has been observed many times that people go for treatment only when they observe the problem caused by high pressure in their organs. The chronic hypertension may become a cause of organ failure and damage such as heart failure, kidney failure, aneurysms, eye damage, heart attack, stroke or many more. Sometimes a person sees no sign and symptoms of high pressure while in reality it has reached in the high range. Therefore, it is strongly advised that a person should go for regular blood pressure check up because in this way he/she can pinpoint any problem in the early stage.
